Our purchasing philosophy
The success of BERLINER SCHRAUBEN depends to a very great extent on our suppliers' performance. Therefore we set great store by the development and encouragement of a good customer-supplier relationship which is based on the internal and external performance principle. This is the only way to improve our level of performance towards our customers and achieve economic and technical added value with our suppliers. We are aware of our responsibility towards our customers and employees and we expect this awareness from our suppliers too.
Our products comply with the high demands of safety and quality laid down by our customers and fulfil expectations with regard to price and availability. The choice of our suppliers is made in line with our customer orientation which means taking account of a high level of quality, a fair procurement price, compliance with deadlines, service, ecological handling of resources, delivery and payment terms as well as the premise that products, technology and communications are continually optimised and developed in the sense of the requirements. For selected product areas, certification in accordance with ISO 9001 and/or ISO TS 16949 is a basic prerequisite for co-operation.
When
working with our suppliers, we follow a philosophy of long-term partnership and
co-operation with benefits accruing to both sides. We are also unceasingly on
the lookout for capable new suppliers who can make an effective contribution to
our company’s main goal – improving customer satisfaction.
